Postmortem


-Successes 

Was able to create an interesting experiment with lighting and platforming.  I feel that I was able to make a good looking platformer with experimental mechanics of rebuilding yourself.  The darkness really works for the game as well, and I think the lighting is a  real highlight.

-Failures

So short. Too concise, not enough story. Probably not enough time and effort spent on development. Would have liked to have more interesting puzzles around the rebuilt character at each of the stages. There were some bugs with the level design, but those were not the most significant drawbacks. The background could use some work as well as the texturing of the levels. More sound effects are needed. The character needs sprites and animations. Sadly much of this is lacking.

-Lessons Learned

A lot of time management lessons, as well as how to pick partners that will contribute (lol). URP has cool 2D lights that make the game look very aesthetically pleasing! Should have worked more to create the challenges required for the player,  and to start prototyping/thinking about them/drafting them earlier.

-Future Development

Expanding levels, making more levels, adding more sound effects. Making the challenges that the player endures much harder. Adding sprites and animations to the player. Adding a storyline for the player to understand and making it in the  world space. Possibly creating allies that you meet along the way that tell you this story.
